A Visitor's Guide to Nokt: Overview: The Gods of Nokt
The Ereland calendar consists of ten months, each with thirty days. There are seven days in a week, 24 hours in a day. There are, in addition, two “celebration” weeks that exist outside of the normal calendar. Each of these weeks consist of seven full days. These weeks exist as holidays for the peoples of Ereland, and they “interrupt” the normal flow of days (see the calendar for details). There are a total of 314 days in a Lennotian year, and this calendar is universally accepted across the lands.
The months of the year, and the “celebration weeks,” are, in order: Snowfall, Midwinter, Trebuary, Plantation, Spring Dawning Festival (week), Summer’s Warming, Midsummer, Stebuary, Redleaf, Harvest Festival (week), Treefall, and Deep Autumn.
The days of the week are Solsday, Dravday, Tybbsday, Greatday, Tornday, Foolsday, and Noktday. These days are not used in the Festival weeks, though, and they have days with special names. The Spring Dawning Festival has the days of Awakening, Dawnday, Dewday, Longday (which is, oddly, the longest day of the year), Songday, Festivday, and Festival’s Closing. The Harvest Festival consists of Sickleday, Wineday, Fruitsday, Harvestday, Slaughterday, Feastday, and Reflecday.
