A Visitor's Guide to Nokt: Organizations of Nokt: The Slayers

Though not an official organization of Nokt, but more a supplement to the military, the Slayers are a militarily-organized group from Tybbaal’s Slayers Academy, trained in the special arts involved with efficiently killing Illithids. They do not have any power or authority in any official capacity in Nokt, but rather their presence is tolerated and even respected by the common people. A Slayer traditionally is in place as an advisor to the Mayor, and they may also be found acting in other capacities within the town, including service in the town guard.

A Slayer is typically recognizable by their slick, dark purple Hide armor – reportedly crafted from the skin of the first Mind Flayer the slayer ever kills. Such armor is skintight, light, and reported to offer the wearer some resistance to psychic attacks.
