A Visitor's Guide to Nokt: Old Town: The Sentinel Tower

Built upon a small island, the Sentinel Tower serves the ports of Nokt as both beacon (it is a lighthouse, after all) and advance warning (it is also fortified tower with an alarm gong). Five armed guards are stationed in the tower at all times, to man the signal tower and to function as lookouts for trouble.

The island the Sentinel Tower is built upon is a wet, rocky promontory that had some natural caves in it when the Tower was first being built. Though most of those caves have been filled in and reinforced, there is at least one tunnel/cave complex beneath the Sentinel Tower – being used to store provisions and weaponry, should the personnel manning the Tower require these reserves in time of conflict. But there may yet be deeper tunnels below the tower, filled with water and leading… who knows where?
