A Visitor's Guide to Nokt: New Town: The Guild Quarter
A collection of well-constructed buildings, all of varying styles, the Guild Quarter has a low wall that runs around its perimeter, encircling and providing protection to the guilds within. The main gate into the Quarter is guarded twenty-four hours a day, every day, so that guild members can always be assured of safe passage to their respective guilds.
The guilds that call the Quarter their home are:
Artisans’ Guild: for painters, sculptors, et al.
Craftsmen’s Guild: leatherworkers, barrel-makers, et al.
Foodstuffs Guild: bakers, brewers, et al.
Garment-makers’ Guild
Messenger’s Guild
Laborer’s Guild: teamsters, porters, maids, et al.
Professionals’ Guild: Alchemists, mapmakers, tutors, et al.
The Merchant’s Guild is not located in the Guild Quarter; this prosperous guild is part of Karnin’s Temple complex.
The Guild Quarter is not a marketplace; what it is, though, is a member’s area where guildsmen can come to have meetings, discuss problems they may be having, and perhaps plan out certain aspects of their businesses.
